Dr. Emma Raccaro, PT, DPT
Upper West Side Physical Therapist
Emma Raccaro earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science Pre-Physical Therapy and Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Springfield College in Massachusetts. She also completed a minor in Psychology. As a student, Emma was awarded several scholarships and awards recognizing her academic excellence, commitment to the community, love for life, and love for the profession of Physical Therapy. She served as the president for her college’s Physical Therapy Organization and also spearheaded different clubs across campus. Following graduation, Emma pursued her passion for both orthopedics and pelvic floor physical therapy by completing several post-graduate trainings through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Her area of focus includes pelvic pain conditions, sexual dysfunction, postpartum rehabilitation, bowel and bladder dysfunction, as well as orthopedic conditions.
Emma’s mission is to provide inclusive, heart-centered care that honors and values all people equally. Grounded in love and belief in human potential, Emma applies evidence-based practices and collaborates with her patients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and values. She takes a holistic approach to treatment through spirit, mind, and body. What sets Emma apart is her commitment to cultural sensitivity, trauma-informed care, and the importance of creating a safe space where all individuals feel heard and respected.
When she's not in the clinic, Emma loves to stay active through running, dancing, strength training, hiking, meditation, and practicing yoga. Her approach to wellness extends beyond the treatment room—she is a certified community instructor for balance and fall prevention programs and has even completed a 10-day silent meditation retreat as part of her personal growth journey. She is most likely to be found exploring different art galleries, museums, record stores, and coffee shops in search of the best latte in NYC!
